Fast And Furious - The Change



Fast and Furious was introduced to us in 2001 and the latest one was produced in 2014. From these 13 years we have seen a change in the posters where the Advance of technology has effected print such as this. The contrast from all these posters is clear and that is the film becomes less about the cars and more of an action thriller about protecting themselves from a criminal that seeks them to their fate as cars is just an accessories in the newer films whereas the cars were the focal point in the first and second ones as they were the posters main appealing factor as it attracts the audience but as time goes on the cars become less seen due to characters becoming more important as eventually the cars is not the main point of the film anymore as the zeitgeist could have an impact. 

This is therefore why there posters changed and adapted becoming brighter and including a background of a location where this could foreshadow where majority of scenes could be based or where the film is based. From the posters you could link this to their website and technology.

The first website for the franchise was presented exclusively for fast and furious 4 showing that media didn’t have an impact back in 2001 where it was limited and social media didn’t start becoming popular after 2006 giving people access to their website to find more about fast and furious. However there website was very basic as technology was not as advance as it is now. However since the advance technology they are able to include moving transitions of clips of the movie as their background or still images and there are several links leading to their social feed to interact as before they couldn’t plus social media is a big factor to attracting attention.
