Research

I have decided to do brief 1 which is sliver lining productions and create an action/comedy film as i have found similar films/programmes that i can compare to.

The other films i looked at that that i can compare to is Rush hour series of films and Bad Boys which had a series of films.

For those who can get past the senseless slaughter of an indigenous culture between  14-29 male is the target audience of Bad Boys II. There are multiple belly laughs and a few fascinating stunt sequences. Had there simply been a touch more moderation. From my research i was able to understand that Bad Boys viewers were majority of males as it intrigued them with the violence. action and comedy which appealed to especially younger viewers but middle aged men. The aspect of homour makes it more brightening as it adds some life into the film and make its more interesting as without comedy, it would be taken not that realistic.

"This introduces the main genre of the film quickly, drawing the interest of the intended “young, funky, style-conscious, street-smart generation” demographic. The Bad Boys 2 trailer looks to have a great deal of action, with some very fast-paced car chases and more guns than people. However, more action generally implies less room for character development thereby appealing to younger, action-seeking viewers".

Another comparison is Rush Hour. Rush Hour 2 was released August 3, 2001 to mixed reviews from critics, but it grossed $347,325,802 at the worldwide box office, becoming the eleventh highest-grossing film of 2001 worldwide. It is the highest-grossing live-action martial arts film of all time, and the second highest-grossing martial arts film of all time. This again was an action/comedy using two genres to make a film more effective andf appeal widely to everyone. However as it was successful there were 3 films made of rush hour on how poluar and different it was to other films a decade ago and now it seems to be a popular choice which people like to watch and enjoy.

Using this film concept i would make my programme using this concept to make it a programme series for my certain target audience on a certain channel production.
